Lose Weight With Green Tea!

If you want to spend a lot of money, a lot of time and a lot of effort then there are tons of products out there for you to try but if you want to strip the belly fat off quickly and cost effective then look no further than Green tea. Green tea has more multiple benefits to it which include bioactive compounds that can improve your health and brain, antioxidants which may help lower your risk of various types of cancer, may help lower your risk of type 2 diabetes and so much more but one of the major ones that we're all interested is in the fact that it speeds up your metabolism. As we all know, a healthy metabolism is a key to weight loss.

How Green Tea Helps Lose Weight

Green tea is less processed and has a high concentration of polyphenols which are also known as catechins. The catechins in the green tea are the ones that are active key ingredients in weight loss. They prevent the accumulation of body fat. Green tea also contains caffeine which significantly increases thermogenesis by 28%-77% (Depending on dose), which is the generation of body heat that occurs as a result of normal digestion, absorption, and metabolization of food. Chinese studies also found that green tea significantly lowers triglyceride concentrations (dangerous fat found in the blood) and belly fat in subjects who eat fatty diets.

When And How Much To Drink

In the morning: A study in the International Journal of Molecular Science found that fasting overnight, followed by green tea intake (at least 30 minutes before your first meal of the day), allowed for the best possible absorption of EGCG, the magic nutrient in green tea. Two hours before or after a meal: Having green tea between meals, preferably two hours before or after eating to maximize your nutrient intake. By all means, avoid it along with a meal, especially if you are anemic. This is because, according to a fact sheet published by the National Cancer Institute, the antioxidant catechins in green tea inhibit the digestion and absorption of iron from your diet. Drinking it between meals allows the body to absorb iron from the food. If you still want to go ahead and drink the tea with your meal, then make sure you include food that enhances iron absorption, like vitamin C-rich food. Pre Or Post workout: Brazilian scientists found that participants who consumed three cups of the beverage every day for a week had fewer markers of the cell damage caused by resistance to exercise. That means that green tea can also help you recover faster after an intense workout. In another study—this one on people—participants who combined a daily habit of four to five cups of green tea each day with a 25-minute workout for 12 weeks lost an average of two more pounds than the non-tea-drinking exercises.

Two To Three Cups A Day

Green tea can cause some trouble in the body if you don't consume it in moderation. According to the University Of Maryland Medical Center, a person should ideally limit his/her consumption of green tea to two or three cups a day or 100 to 750 mg of standardized green tea extract per day
